Any old lodges or resorts featuring main lodge family dining and activities?
In the 1960s we frequently visited lodges and resorts in the U.S. (one in Canada) where there were a bunch of log cabins and a main lodge. There was a "meal plan" at the lodge where everyone gathered in the main lodge for their breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner and this was part of the weekly price. There were also a lot of activities for the kids and entire family. Are these old-style lodges and resorts still in existence, and if so, where? Have you been to one recently?
Try the Buffalo Bill Cody Lodge just outside the east gate to Yellowstone National Park. Our culture has changed away from the structured meal plan so I don't think that really applies but I'm sure someone else will find what your looking for. Good Luck.
