MF025 - Skylight Saloon Table - Coffee Tables

Of typical form and shape, our Skylight Saloon Table was originally intended to pass light through to the below-decks saloon of the royal yacht Standart. This 420 foot long luxury vessel belonged to Russia’s Czar Nicholas II and his family. Every June the Romanovs cruised the Baltic, taking tea in wicker chairs (much like our Fireside chair) and reading in mahogany paneled drawing rooms. With the angled windows lifted horizontally (the position which allowed fresh air into the below-decks) a wonderful, unusual and oversized coffee table takes shape. Space for books, papers and various paraphernalia is sumptuous and plentiful. Drawers complement the nautical themed functionality with proven imperial heritage. -
