On Carnival, I saw GOBS of 20 and 30 something people. They drank and partied and had a great time. I'm in my late 40's and I had an OK time too, but nothing like the time they had. I hung around with my pre-teen kids and they had some fun at Camp Carnival, which you are too old for and you're too young for the MANY liquor-oriented establishments on Carnival. So you're right in-between the focus. I would wait for 21 and then book on Carnival.
